ABOUT US
The Atal Satellite Competition (ASC) is the first school-level satellite
design and development
competition
in India. It is organized under the aegis of India Space Week, as part of its broader mission to promote
space science education and technological innovation at the grassroots level.ASC is designed for
students from Grade 6 to Grade 12, giving them a unique opportunity to explore the world
of space technology through hands-on experience. The competition encourages students to work in teams,
guided by a teacher mentor, to design and build a satellite the size of a soft drink can. This satellite
is
expected to collect data from the atmosphere and transmit it to a ground station during its descent from
a
height of 200 m.
