Building Capabilities for Tomorrow’s Innovators
The Atal Satellite Competition is designed not only to spark curiosity in space science but also to equip students with practical skills in satellite design, electronics, and systems thinking. Through structured training and guided mentorship, participants will engage in a learning experience that reflects the broader national vision of preparing youth for emerging scientific and technological domains.

Structured Training Programme
All registered participants will undergo two rounds of training, each spanning five consecutive days. These sessions are carefully designed to introduce students to the fundamentals of CanSat development and guide them through the process of building and refining their satellite models.
    Training modules will include:
  • Introduction to satellite systems and payloads.
  • Basics of telemetry and data transmission.
  • Structural design and safety protocols.
  • Mission planning and execution strategies.
Sessions will be delivered online and will include live instruction, curated learning materials, and interactive exercises. The training is intended to foster hands-on learning and encourage students to apply scientific principles in a practical context.

    Mentorship & Collaborative Learning
    To ensure sustained engagement and support throughout the competition, the following mentorship mechanisms will be provided:
  • Bi-monthly Q&A Sessions
    Held twice a month, these sessions will allow students to interact directly with subject matter experts, clarify doubts, and receive technical guidance.
  • Dedicated Discussion Group
    A moderated online group will be established to facilitate peer-to-peer learning, mentor interaction, and collaborative problem-solving.
  • Expert Guidance
    Participants will receive feedback and direction from professionals affiliated with academic institutions and research organizations, helping them refine their designs and deepen their understanding.
